General Info:

When & where does Crafternoon on High take place?
When:September 20th, 11- 3 (set-up starting at 9am).
Where: United Methodist Children"s Home Cafeteria, 1033 High Street, Worthington, OH 43085

What's an alternative craft show?
Alternative crafts are not what you'd usually find in your grandma's country craft fair. No concrete goose clothing or toilet scrubber cozies. More like fashionable handmade jewelry, ironic cross-stitchery, and monster plushies.

Why are you doing this?
There's this sweet little girl battling cancer, and her family is buried under medical bills. We wanted to help out, and we adore cool handmade items. What better way to help than to combine the two?

How long have you been doing Crafternoon on High?
This is the inaugural event, baby! Get in when it's all shiny and still has that new craft show smell.

What's up with the location?
The United Methodist Children's home is on High Street just north of old Worthington. And considering Saturdays are jam packed with farmer's market attendees, we thought we couldn't go wrong.

Are there any other features to the event besides crafts?
Glad you asked! We'll also have a bake sale and a raffle. All proceeds from both will benefit Hallie.

Can I volunteer to help?
More help is always appreciated. We can always use some extra hands passing out flyers at events around town and helping us set up the day of the event. Please visit the Participate page of this website for more details on how you can help us out!

Vendors:

What cannot be sold at the Crafternoon on High?
No mass-produced items! Everything will be handmade by the vendor.

How much does a table cost?
If you'd like to use our round tables (provided), registration fee is $20. If you would prefer to bring in your own table (5' long maximum), the registration fee is $25.

Why does it cost more to bring my own table?
The building comes with large round tables that look great and will provide a nice flow of traffic. Plus, we aren't so crazy about hauling around heavy tables. But if you'd prefer to haul your own in, then we'll haul one of ours out. Deal?

Can I share a table?
Sure thing! We're all about sharing the fun. If you plan to share a table with a pal, complete 1 application together rather than submitting them separately. Also, no more than 2 crafters per table, please.

What do my fees go for?
Mostly they are going to the family of above-mentioned sweet little girl. A small amount of each fee will be used to promote the event via postcards, flyers, signage, and other advertising.

How do I apply to participate in the show?
Visit the Participate page of this website for full instructions! First you'll complete part of the registration form, then you'll be redirected to Paypal so you can securely submit your registration fee, and then you'll come back to this site to complete the registration process. It's easy & completely safe.

We really prefer that you register using this website, but if for some reason you absolutely must mail in your registration instead, please email us for details and we'll hook you up: info@crafternoononhigh.com

What happpens after I apply?
Well, we're accepting applications until August 5th. After that, we'll review all the applications and choose our line-up. We want to make sure we have a great variety of items, so we're going to be looking at each application individually. You will be notified by August 10th if you've been selected to be in the show! We'll email you, and we'll also post it on the site.

How many vendors are you accepting?
Crafternoon on High is an intimate, boutique style show, so spaces are limited to 20 round tables and 5 rectangular tables. Once we've filled all those spots, we'll start a waiting list in case of cancellations.

Did you say cancellation?
Yep, and we also need to mention that there will be no refunds for cancellations. If something comes up and you can't make it, consider your fee a donation to a good cause.

Can I help spread the word?
Oh boy, can you! We can always use more folks passing out flyers, posting blog and Myspace bulletins, linking to the Crafternoon on High website, and telling all their friends and family about the event. We'll be happy to mail you flyers to help spread the word! We can also provide graphics for website announcements.
